About the event

2022

The Cinco de Mayo Golf Committee is ecstatic to announce that the 22nd Annual Cinco de Mayo Golf Classic will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Silverado Resort & Spa. After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our committee is more excited than ever to invite you to support farmworker housing and our Napa Valley migrant farmworker community by joining us for a fun and relaxing day of golf, food and fellowship. As you know, the Golf Classic is the only fundraising event dedicated to Napa Valley’s three Farmworker Housing Centers, which provide affordable housing and meals, health and social services, and work assistance to the migrant farm workers who tirelessly support our valley. With the last two Golf Classics canceled due to COVID, we now must push harder to keep funding this essential resource.

Here are three ways you can participate:

  1. Become an event Underwriter or Sponsor: Donate to the cause! Our donation levels are outlined in the sidebars to the left and right, and more details are attached.
  1. Play in the tournament: Join with over 140 players in a fun, friendly day of great golf, fabulous food, delicious margaritas and fellowship – all for an excellent cause. Registration form attached.
  1. Donate a raffle item: We are seeking raffle items which could include merchandise, gift certificates, wine, beer, tequila, spa and/or tourist experiences. A donation form is attached.

Please note that Cinco de Mayo Golf, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and our Tax ID# is 46-3707917.

The annual Cinco de Mayo Golf Classic is the only fundraising event in Napa Valley to be exclusively dedicated to the needs of migrant farmworkers. It provides funds for a number of vital projects at Napa County’s three publicly owned Farmworker Housing Centers that are not covered in the County’s Farmworker Housing operational budget.  These include items such as capital building repairs, commercial kitchen equipment, beds, lockers, landscaping supplies, as well as health and social services including work assistance and leadership training. Migrant farmworkers pay $13 per night to stay at the Centers, which includes a shared room and three meals per day except Sunday, hot showers and laundry facilities. Each Center has 60 beds. The Cinco de Mayo Golf Classic is organized by the Napa Valley Farmworker Committee and Cinco de Mayo Golf, Inc. and made possible through the generous underwriting and longtime support of many individuals, corporations and organizations.
